Back in January, we had the opportunity to reveal our brand new Pearl Putter to the public at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. The event began on Wednesday, January 25th at the Orange County National Golf Course with “Demo Day”, moved over to the Orange County Convention Center on Thursday, January 26th, and concluded on Saturday January 28th.
Over the course of those four days, hundreds of golf professionals, amateurs, and the media tested out our Pearl Putter. Everyone raved about it. They loved the adjustability, feel, balance, weight, color and most importantly… its PERFORMANCE.
Francis Kringle, sunk over 24 straight putts. He was ecstatic about the Pearl Putter and claimed, “This is the best thing [putter] I’ve ever found.” Francis is a PGA Class A Professional at The Blandford Club located in the town of Blandford, Massachusetts.
Rich Beem, the 2002 PGA Championship winner, stopped by our booth, sank all three of his putts and placed an order for his Pearl Putter. Here’s a photo of Rich and our Pearl crew:
On the last day of the show, Pearl ProSports was notified of our first award for the Pearl Putter. Roger Kleinschmidt, inventor and owner of GolfBallArt.com, spent over an hour with us at the booth testing the Pearl Putter and providing feedback on it. Roger awarded the Pearl Putter as the “Most Innovative Putter” of the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show. Below is Roger’s write-up (posted in full) from his web site: GolfBallArt.com
“This annual event held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL is always a treat to go to as all the new golf merchandise for the upcoming year is displayed. It is like being a kid again, and in a candy store. This year saw the introduction of white headed clubs, innovative tees, and, best of all, many new putters. Yea! The Show attendance was thriving again and a nice sight/feeling that the industry was making valiant recovery. I thought it was very well received by those who attended. It was an exciting show.
Okay, folks, here is the winner of my annual putter testing contest to select the best and most innovative putter of the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show.
Drum roll, please: And the winner is… PEARL PUTTERS!
The shaft of their innovative putter is attached at the back of the putter thereby placing the center of gravity directly below the shaft end. This balance point concept really works! It has great feel and a seemingly huge sweet spot. And you can adjust the lie! Plus it is so easy to align to your target. The balance and momentum minimizes head twisting and gives a real positive feel for the putt. The wonderful result is that you just plain make more putts. Try one.”
